Investing in Gold: New Investors

With the Blanchard Buyback Guarantee, you can find out the current value of any investments you purchased from us and liquidate any of these holdings with us easily, whenever you choose. Plus, there are no hidden commissions, charges, or fees.

Value and Sell:

Bullion Coins purchased from Blanchard

How to Determine Coin Value:

Bullion: Check the current market price of gold. Your bullion is valued based on the current market price of gold. If you're ready to sell bullion, call us at 1-800-880-4653 for an instant gold price quote.

Sell to Blanchard and Company:

Throughout the buyback process, an Account Executive will provide you with instructions and walk you through each of the following steps:

  1. We can buy actively traded bullion in any quantity as well as graded, certified coins you purchased from us. Call us and we'll give you a price quote based on the bullion amounts and/or coin identification numbers you provide.
  2. We'll give you detailed instructions via USPS registered insured mail on how to securely ship the bullion or coins to our vault.
  3. The buyback price will be locked in once you call your Account Executive with the shipment registration number from the post office.
  4. When we've received the item(s) we then process them carefully: according to a strict protocol, we unpack, catalog the items, weigh them on a scale, check that all certification/registration numbers match, and confirm value.
  5. We'll notify you when your check is in the mail.

Remember that any reputable dealer, including Blanchard and Company, will need to physically examine bullion or coins before making any firm purchase offer.

What about Bullion or Coins not purchased from Blanchard?

How to Determine Value of Bullion and Rare Coins not purchased from Blanchard

We will consider purchasing Bullion and Rare Coins that have been certified, graded and "slabbed" by the Professional Coin Grading Service or the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation. You can request a quote by calling us at 1-800-880-4653.

Rare Coins that are not graded, certified and slabbed: If you have loose, ungraded, uncertified coins, most reputable brokers, including Blanchard and Company, will require them to be professionally graded:

  1. Determine if your coin is worth having professionally graded. To do this, see if your coin's type is featured on the sites of America's leading independent coin grading services: Professional Coin Grading Service and Numismatic Guaranty Corporation. If it is, we recommend you consider having them grade your coins prior to contacting us, as most reputable, high-end rare coin brokers only acquire certified and graded coins.
  2. If you don't see your coin's type on the grading sites, contact one or more reputable coin dealers in your area. A local dealer can usually help identify the coin, give an early indication of whether grading is an option, and possibly offer you an acceptable price, especially if you have an average or below-average quality coin.
